The Eye of Agamotto holds the green Time Stone, which Strange uses to loop time against Dormammu. He hands it to Thanos in Infinity War to protect the one future in which the heroes win.
Marvel Cinematic Universe Quiz β The Saga That Changed Blockbusters
When Iron Man opened in 2008, few people expected it to start the most successful film franchise in history. Marvel Studios built a shared universe in which characters crossed from one movie to another, and audiences learned to stay until the very end of the credits for hints about what came next.
The plan came together in The Avengers in 2012, when Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, the Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye joined forces for the first time. Over the next seven years, the films built toward a showdown with Thanos and his quest for the six Infinity Stones, ending with Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
Since then, the universe has expanded into Disney+ series such as WandaVision and Loki and into the multiverse, with new heroes and returning favorites. Fans now follow dozens of films and shows that all connect in some way.
This quiz focuses on the first big chapter, known as the Infinity Saga. You will need to know the actors, the weapons, the places and the stones that drove the story from Iron Man to Endgame.
Part of the fun is how the films reward close attention. A line in one movie can set up a plot twist several years later, and objects such as the Tesseract and the Mind Stone in Loki's scepter quietly pass from film to film until their true purpose is revealed. Keeping track of who holds which stone is a challenge even for dedicated fans.
