Anyone can recognize Dynamite. An ARMY might remember which album introduced a particular track, when an era began, or a detail from BTS history that casual listeners completely missed.
This quiz moves through the group's journey from its early Seoul years to stadium shows, record-breaking releases, international awards, solo projects, and the moments that turned RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook into globally recognized names.
Ten questions are waiting. Getting a few right is easy. Getting all ten? That's a different conversation.
Seven Members, Seven Very Different Stories
BTS debuted under Big Hit Entertainment in 2013 with seven members, but the group's identity was never built around seven interchangeable performers.
RM became known as the group's leader. Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook each brought different vocal, rap, performance, and creative strengths to BTS.
Their Korean discography grew through projects including the School Trilogy, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Wings, Love Yourself, Map of the Soul, and BE, while songs such as DNA, Boy With Luv, Dynamite, Butter, and Permission to Dance helped push BTS even further into mainstream international pop culture.
That leaves plenty of territory for BTS trivia—and the biggest singles are only the beginning.
Did You Know? BTS History Goes Deeper Than the Hits
The name BTS comes from the Korean expression Bangtan Sonyeondan, commonly translated as “Bulletproof Boy Scouts.” The group later also associated BTS with the English phrase Beyond the Scene.
Their official debut arrived on June 13, 2013, with 2 Cool 4 Skool and the lead single No More Dream.
Years later, BTS reached milestones that once seemed extremely unlikely for a Korean act in the U.S. mainstream.
Love Yourself: Tear became the first predominantly Korean-language album to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200. In 2020, Dynamite became BTS's first No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 and their first song released entirely in English.
The fandom has its own history too. ARMY, the official fandom name, was announced in 2013 and became inseparable from the group's global identity.
BTS eventually entered another chapter as the members pursued solo work alongside their group career and completed South Korea's military-service requirements.
For longtime fans, those different eras make a simple question surprisingly difficult: how much BTS history do you actually remember?

Expect questions involving BTS members, songs, albums, ARMY, K-pop history, debut facts, Billboard milestones, famous performances, solo projects, and different BTS eras.
If all seven names came to mind before you finished reading this sentence, you're probably ready.
