Brand Logos Quiz – Symbols We See Every Day
A good logo can be recognized in an instant, often from across a street or in the corner of a screen. Companies spend years and large budgets designing logos that are simple, memorable and easy to reproduce in any size. Many of the most famous ones are so familiar that we hardly notice them anymore, which is what makes a logo quiz harder than it looks.
This quiz describes the logos in words instead of showing images, so you have to picture them in your mind. Some are about shapes, like Audi's four rings or Toyota's three ovals. Others feature animals or objects, such as Lamborghini's bull, Twitter's former bird or the shell of the energy company that shares its name.
Behind almost every logo is a story. The Nike Swoosh was designed by a student for 35 dollars, Apple's bite was added so the fruit would not look like a cherry and Alfa Romeo's serpent comes from the coat of arms of a medieval Milanese family. Learning those stories makes everyday symbols more interesting.
Logos also change over time. Companies simplify their designs to work on phone screens and app icons, and some rebrand completely, as Twitter did when it became X in 2023.
This quiz tests how well you know the symbols you see every day.
